Who we are
How we work
People Matters Hackham West is a group of locals working together on fun, free activities to build connection and a sense of belonging.
The group includes local residents and representatives from service providers, schools, community centres and the council. All are welcome.
We meet regularly to dream up ways we can celebrate and expand the connections and support our local community offers.
Over the years we have organised a wide range of projects and events, always with community at the heart.

Warsaw
Parkour
Park
We worked together to get funding and create the parkour park at Warsaw Reserve, Hackham West...
Warsaw Family Fun Days
...Since then we have held many free, family fun days at Warsaw Reserve celebrating our diverse and talented community.
Vintners Walk Butterfly Garden
We are growing a children’s forest in the heart of Hackham West to provide a place for locals - human and non-human alike. We have focused on planting butterfly and native bee attracting plants which are indigenous to this place.
We also coordinated an amazing community art project at Vintners Walk, transforming the giant concrete butterfly which was already on site with pebble mosaic creations.
